Welcome to Out of Eden. This is an attempt to document my journey through religious deconstruction starting on day one. Join me, Sam Morse, as I attempt to finally figure out what I believe in by asking the difficult questions regarding my childhood fundamentalist Christian faith. Listen as I wander the no-mans-land that is agnostic uncertainty.

Growing up in the faith, there were those who were saved by God’s grace and then the rest of the world. Even as a young man it broke my heart to think so few people would get to heaven. How could we all be so happy going to heaven when so many of those we loved and cared for would not be with us? Then as I started to study the idea of what it means to be saved within the Christian faith I realized it is not that simple an assumption! Everyone seemed to have a different idea of who would be saved and who would be damned. So, it is time to talk about the complex idea of Salvation! Enjoy this two-part series titled “The Good, The Bad, and the Saved”.
