Growing up in the faith, there were those who were saved by God’s grace and then the rest of the world. Even as a young man it broke my heart to think so few people would get to heaven. How could we all be so happy going to heaven when so many of those we loved and cared for would not be with us? Then as I started to study the idea of what it means to be saved within the Christian faith I realized it is not that simple an assumption!

There is nothing more terrifying to a child raised in the Christian church than the idea of an eternal hell. The paradox of an eternal punishment for a finite life has not made sense to me since I was eight years old. Then as I grew up and chose to research the theology of hell I was smacked in the face with history of hell. Join me and Pastor Spencer as we address the evolving perception of the idea of hell.
